Summer Reading Kickoff 2012

  • Kickoff for the 2012 Summer Reading program, ‘Reading is so Delicious!’ will be Saturday, June 2.  Join us from 1-3pm on the Channahon Lawn for a fun afternoon for all ages! Entertainment will include a karate demo given by TM Martial Arts and a performance by Matt Wilhelm, the world’s fastest spinner on a BMX bike. This free event will include carnival games, refreshments, crafts, and a bouncy house! Don’t miss your first opportunity to sign up for our Summer Reading Program!

    No registration required for this event. (If inclement weather, we’ll have kickoff at Skateland from 1-3pm)

Healthy Eating: Start at the Supermarket

  • Brittney Junker, Registered Dietician from Morris Hospital, will be at our library to talk about healthy eating.   Geared towards adults and teens, this program will give an overview on how to give your body the nutrients it needs and choose healthy foods.  She will also take a virtual tour of the grocery store, giving tips on healthy shopping, meal planning and navigating through the various aisles of the store.  Required registration opens May 22.
