Adult Services Manager

The Three Rivers Public Library District is now accepting applications for the position of Adult Services Manager. The ideal candidate will be flexible, approachable, a self-starter with exceptional customer services skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.


Under administration of the Executive Director, this position is responsible for operation of the Adult Services Department. Duties include: collection development for adults; planning and implementing reader’s services and programs for adults; instructing patrons in library online and eResouces; creating and implementing departmental goals; representing the library at the system level.


Essential skills include: knowledge of Reference and Readers Advisory practices, procedures and technologies; knowledge and skill in use of online and electronic
resources; knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and any other applicable software; ability to conduct patron interviews; ability to communicate effectively,
both in writing and orally and the ability to bend, stoop, lift and carry items up to twenty pounds. This is a full-time non-exempt position requiring day, evening and
weekend hours.


Position requires: ALA-accredited MLS required with one year library experience; three years experience in a public contact position; day, evening and weekend
hours; access to transportation. Starting salary is $55,000-$60,000, plus benefits.
